Front desk folks were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again, we had higher expectations and were a little disappointed. We had no problem with the power or water. We stay 3 nights, the Park was clean and maintained. All of the sites are identical with the exception of a couple of nice pull-through sites by a dog park but those are only available for short term stays.
The site surface is mostly large stone, 1. I would not stay here again since management doesn't seem to be interested in repairing the roads or they would have done it by now. Appeared to be several long-term campers, some in larger sites with parking for several vehicles. If there is no one around upon arrival, check the gift shop. For Fishing License purchase, fishing rules, and fishing regulations please visit. Very clean, wide spots, quiet; pull thru with toad that we did not disconnect. The Woolworth building started its life in 1947 as a five and dime department store.
Amarillo Lake is a lake located just 1. The rates went up, we were told. The sites were very uneven and I had to back up a hill to rehook. The office and check in is one of my wife's favorite places. Please remember to check with the local Fish and Wildlife department to ensure the stream is open to the public. Check in is always easy, staff is always friendly, and there is escort to site. It is extremely likely that you will see a profile of someone you know.

Situated in the Texas Panhandle, is a definitive product of the Lone Star State, marrying the old and the new with working cattle ranches, the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo, a broad range of diverse cuisine, and a host of modern amenities. Sam's club just down the road is great to resupply and has the cheapest diesel in town. With barking dogs, vehicles driving fast and cutting between empty sites, I felt permanent sites could do what they want but transit overnighters were held to a stricter standard. It makes for an ok pit stop when traveling I-40. It was close to the canyon and close to some good restaurants in the town of Canyon.
This is a diamond in the rough, with extras. It is easy on easy off from the interstate. Good location for a two day stop. This place is a tough one to review because the cost for the month, or the monthly rates are within a range. Amarillo is the regional economic center for the Texas Panhandle, and is economically important to Eastern New Mexico and the Oklahoma Panhandle.

We have been here on and off for a number of years. Again we choose Oasis as 0ur over night stay as we travel west. Good Sam website rates it a 10 but no way. This park has been bought by The Big Texan and they are in the process of changing the name. As we pass through Amarillo multiple times a year, this is our preferred resting spot. We stayed here when it was the other park and this is a 100% improvement. If you can't find anything else in the area and you're desperate for a place to sleep for the night, it'll due. Many permanent Campers, some with many dogs.
The owners are very pleasant and the rate is hard to beat for a full hookup site, especially if just looking for an overnight stay. Great covered pavilion for cookouts, jungle jim for the kids, great grassy area to play in. The park was a little difficult to find and located in a busy area so there was some street noise but not too bad. This park was a welcome stop along our travels from Balloon Fiesta to Nomadfest in Wellington. Apartment rent in Amarillo has increased by 0. We will probably stop here again for a night on our way back across the country. Convenient location to visit Amarillo.
